ZipVac Storage Bags

Vacuum Method
One of the keys to ZipVac storage is the order in which the vacuum process takes place. In traditional heat seal vacuum storage systems, the vacuum seal is completed after the air has been evacuated from the food storage bag. The problem with this system occurs when the final seal is faulty. This requires cutting the storage bag open, removing some of the items, evacuating the air, and then attempting a positive reseal. ZipVac storage bags have a plastic zippered seal that is closed before the actual vacuum process. This guarantee a positive seal prior to evacuating any air from the storage bag. The integrity of the vacuum seal can be checked at any time. If the seal has been improperly seated, simply reopen the storage bag and then reseal it. The easiest way to seal ZipVac vacuum bags is to lay the storage bag on a flat surface with the one way air valve pointing up. Press firmly on the plastic zipper with the tip of your pointer finger. Moving from right to left, trace the top of the storage bag with gentle pressure. The plastic zipper of the storage bag with gently seat itself with just a little pressure. Once the ZipVac storage bag has been sealed, turn the one way vacuum seal knob a quarter turn to the right. This will open the one way air valve on the storage bag and allow excess air to be evacuated from the ZipVac bag. Gentle push down on the storage bag. This will help remove any excess air prior to the vacuum process. The vacuum process is initiated by placing the opening of the hand help pump over the head of the one way valve. Make sure the vacuum pump is firmly seated before the pump is activated. This will insure the ZipVac portable vacuum pump works correctly. In the case of the mechanical hand pump, gently push the pump's plunger into the pump to start the vacuum seal process. The ZipVac pump only removes air on the upstroke of the pump. The one way valve on the vacuum storage bag prevent air from reentering the vacuum bag. This allows the user to remove as much, or as little, air as the user decides from the vacuum storage bag. The mechanical pump shines in situations where recharging is impossible. The hand held rechargeable pump works in a similar fashion to the mechanical pump except there is no plunger to operate. Simply depress the start button on the head of the ZipVac pump. The rechargeable pump will automatically start removing air from the vacuum storage bag.

By providing two methods of removing air from the vacuum storage bag, users can decide which pump best fits the conditions they are in. Both systems are portable and don't require an AC power to work. Allowing outdoorsmen to bring vacuum storage systems into the field. Something impossible with traditional heat sealing vacuum storage systems. ZipVac's vacuum storage system can be used anywhere and the integrity of the seal on the storage bag can be instantly seen. If a food storage bag is improperly closed, simply reseal the vacuum storage bag and complete the vacuum process. The hand held pump allows the user choose how much air is removed from the food storage bag . Since no heat are used in the sealing process, there is no waiting.  ZipVac's food storage bags are available in a variety of sizes and each has a seal that can be resealed without the use of heat.
