Portability
The portability of ZipVac's vacuum storage bags is one
of the things that makes this time of food storage bags
so useful on a camping trip. Traditional forms of heat
seal vacuum storage bags require users to have some
source of electricity in order vacuum seal the storage
bags. Prior to ZipVac's portable vacuum pump feature,
many hikers would attempt to reduce the bulkiness of the
packs that they were carrying by vacuum packing the
provisions they would be carrying on their hiking trip.
The problem with these heat sealed storage bags was
there was no method to reseal them in the field once the
seal was broken. Carefully organized packs quickly

storage bag systems. Once in the field, there's no AC
outlet to make the units work. ZipVac solved the problem
by creating a vacuum food storage bag that had a
mechanical seal on the top of the storage bag. Simply
press the storage bag close by moving your finger across
the top of the vacuum storage bag. Once sealed, a small
handheld pump can then be placed over the one way valve
located on the front of the vacuum storage bag.
ZipVac has solved both of these vacuum food sealing
problems with the creation of plastic zippered food
storage bags. The advantage of their food storage bags
is the airtight seal is created prior to the vacuum
process. This saves individuals the hassle of going
through the entire vacuum food storage operation of
traditional heat sealed food storage systems and then
discovering the seal on the vacuum storage bag was
faulty. With ZipVac's vacuum storage system, the
integrity of the vacuum storage bag can be instantly
seen. In the event of a food storage bag being
improperly closed, the user simply reseals the bag and
then completes the vacuum process. The hand held vacuum
pump instantly allows the user to identify if the food
storage bag was improperly closed. Since there is no
heat used in the sealing process, there is no waiting
for heating elements to warm up or burn out.
